PRISM24™ and PACE24™ 24-Hour Urine Panels

Complete Collection. Comprehensive Insight.

Two panels

Choosing the right test for the right clinical question

PRISM24™  Test code 4084

Designed for the broadest assessment of endocrine physiology.

PRISM24™ is Meridian Valley Laboratory's comprehensive 24-hour endocrine assessment. It combines extensive biomarker coverage with metabolic pathway evaluation and clinically relevant calculated ratios to provide an integrated view of hormone production, metabolism, and physiologic regulation. PRISM24 is well suited for complex endocrine presentations, comprehensive baseline evaluations, and clinicians seeking the most complete understanding of endocrine function from a single 24-hour urine collection.

PACE24™  Test code 4018

Designed for focused endocrine information for routine evaluation and ongoing patient management.

PACE24™ applies the same scientific principles and complete 24-hour urine collection methodology as PRISM24 while concentrating on the core reproductive and adrenal biomarkers most frequently used in clinical practice. Its intentionally focused design supports efficient clinical decision-making, routine endocrine evaluation, hormone optimization, and longitudinal monitoring, providing excellent clinical value without compromising analytical quality.

Method matters

Why 24-Hour Urine?

Steroid hormones are dynamic. Throughout the day they are produced, utilized by tissues, metabolized, concentrated, and excreted in urine. Understanding endocrine physiology requires more than a single measurement. It requires assessment of hormone production, metabolism, and excretion over time.

Blood, individual urine specimens, multiple timed urine collections (often dried), and complete 24-hour urine collections each answer different clinical questions. A complete 24-hour urine collection integrates normal biologic variation over an entire day while directly measuring total daily hormone and metabolite excretion. It also provides a larger and more representative specimen for laboratory analysis, supporting more sensitive and reproducible measurement across a broad range of biomarkers, including low-abundance hormones and metabolites not accessible from blood.

Rather than replacing other specimen types, a complete 24-hour urine collection complements them by answering a different question: How much hormone was produced, how was it metabolized, and how much was excreted over the course of an entire day?

At Meridian Valley Laboratory, we believe in using the right test for the right clinical question. PRISM24™ and PACE24™ leverage the unique strengths of complete 24-hour urine collection to provide meaningful insight into endocrine physiology while addressing different clinical needs.

How collection works

The kit includes complete printed instructions with every clinical detail. The short version:

1. Start and log

Empty your bladder, do not collect that first urination, and record the start date and time on the requisition form.

2. Collect for 24 hours

Collect all urine, day and night, into the provided jug, finishing with a final collection about the same time the next day.

3. Measure and freeze

Record the total volume, fill the clear vial to the 40 mL line, and freeze it upright until shipping day.

4. Ship early in the week

Pack as instructed and ship Monday through Wednesday with the prepaid return label, avoiding US holidays.

For practitioners

Don’t Guess. Test.

Both panels are on the current requisition form: PRISM24™ is test code 4084 and PACE24™ is test code 4018. Order through your practitioner account, and if you are new to Meridian Valley Lab, the FAQs cover account setup and your first requisition.
